Christopher Nairne is a freelance theatre lighting designer. He next designs The Last Temptation of Boris Johnson (Park Theatre).
2018 work includes Tumulus (Soho Theatre); Chasing Bono (Soho Theatre); Suzy Storck (Rennes/Sartrouville, Paris); Keep Walking Federico (Cerventes Theatre/Barcelona); Jerusalem (Watermill Theatre); Two For The Seesaw (Trafalgar Studios); and Madame Butterfly (Ilford Manor).
Christopher was awarded OffWestEnd.com’s “Best Lighting Designer” award in 2016 for Teddy at Southwark Playhouse.
He also received Offie nominations in 2017 (Suzy Storck, Gate Theatre), 2015 (Octagon, Arcola Theatre) and 2014 (Johnny Got His Gun, UK Tour).
Christopher has designed lighting for productions including Complicite's Lionboy (Tricycle Theatre & World Tour), Out Of Joint's A Dish of Tea with Dr Johnson (Traverse Theatre & Arts Theatre). Opera & Ballet includes productions for Ilford Arts, Blackheath Halls, Images Ballet Company, Barber Opera, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, and Melos Sinfonia.
