Elin Steele | Set & Costume Designer
Elin grew up in Anglesey and is fluent Welsh speaker. She graduated from Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with a 1st Class (Hons).
Elin is the Associate Set & Costume Designer for Matthew Bourne's New Adventures. She most recently worked on their 2019 UK Tour of Romeo & Juliet. Upcoming set & costume design on Llyfr Glas Nebo (Sherman Theatre & Welsh Tour), Zero for the Young Dudes and Sewing Group (Arts Educational Schools), and Emilia (Mountview).
Other recent credits include Woof (Set & Costume Designer, Sherman Theatre); Dextera (Costume Designer, Scottish Ballet); The Hound Of The Baskervilles (Set & Costume Designer, Barn Theatre).
Set & Costume Design credits whilst training include: Intimate Apparel (RWCMD: Caird Theatre, dir. Ola Ince), Why Are People Clapping (Alternative Routes with National Dance Company Wales, choreographed by Ed Myhill).
As Costume Assistant: Street Scene (RWCMD: Sherman Theatre, dir. Martin Constantine), The Last Days Of Judas Iscariot (RWCMD: Richard Burton Theatre, dir. Elin has costume making experience at the Royal Opera House and Thurrock Centre.
