WINNER: Piccadilly Comedy Club New Comedian of the Year 2016 FINALIST: So You Think You’re Funny 2014 FINALIST: Laughing Horse 2014 RUNNER-UP: Golden Jester 2014

"A fine comic entertainer, an intelligent maker of points and a wealth of fascinating facts" (The Scotsman)

Eshaan Akbar is a fast-rising comedy talent. He has appeared on the BBC and SKY TV, as well as on BBC Radio 4's "The Now Show", BBC Asian Network, and is a regular on TalkSPORT and LoveSport.

Fresh from performing his show "Prophet Like It's Hot" at the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe Festival (***** Fresh Fringe, **** Voice Mag), which will see a run at the Soho Theatre in 2019.

Eshaan's comedy career has been on an upward trajectory ever since he stopped writing speeches and communications for the CEO of HSBC. Previously of Barclays Wealth and Merton Council, Eshaan holds a Masters in Global Governance and Public Policy and an undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance and Management. He has previously written articles for The Guardian, The Times, The Huffington Post, Happiful magazine and others. He is also a former Bollywood dance choreographer.

Is there anything he can't do? Yes. He can't tie balloons once he's blown them up. Which made his job as a children's entertainer very short-lived.
