Kate Halfpenny is an award winning celebrity stylist and costume designer. For over a decade, she has been styling high-end editorial, TV commercials and celebrities, and is on speed dial for countless personalities for all things fashion and styling. Renowned for her friendly and welcoming demeanour, perfectly balanced with expert professionalism and extensive experience, Kate is also currently sitting on the board of the Cool Brands Council.
Appearing on TV as both fashion presenter and stylist, Kate has worked alongside Mary Portas on Mary Queen of Shops, The Lorraine Show, Chic Fix for Sky and reported live on the Royal Wedding for BBC America. As an editorial stylist she has worked on some of the top style publications, including covers for the likes of Vanity Fair, and regularly works with photographers like Lorenzo Agius, Simon Emmett, Andreas Sjodin and Jonty Davies. Likewise for TV advertising, Kate has worked with many high profile directors, including Noam Murro, Jake Nava, Sara Dunlop, Ringan Ledwidge, Si & Ad, Andy Morahan and Fred Garcon.
She has worked with L’Oreal, Marks & Spencer, Pepsi, Rimmel, Playstation, Honda, Ghost, Dove, Moschino and Hugo Boss, and has won two British TV Craft Awards for her styling and design.
Working with, and dressing, icons such as Rihanna, Cate Blanchett, Twiggy, Cheryl Cole, Kate Moss, Emilia Fox and Daisy Lowe, Kate launched her own couture design label and jewellery line in 2005. Her brand Halfpenny London has gone from strength to strength (2013 saw the opening of her flagship bridal boutique in Central London), whilst she is also co-founder of ethically sourced and cheeky fashion label “She Died Of Beauty” with Erin O’Connor, which was launched to great acclaim at London Fashion Week ’11.
In 2005 Kate launched her namesake bridal and couture collection Halfpenny London. Having spent over a decade designing dresses, her talent for creating elegant and form fitting looks has garnered the attention of celebrities and directors worldwide.
