Stephen Rayne

Stephen Rayne is a highly experienced theatre & screen director. A French & Spanish speaker, Stephen has worked extensively on international theatre projects and has directed over 100 productions as a freelance director.

Stephen began his career as an actor, before directing at York Theatre Royal and Cambridge Theatre. Stephen was Sir Trevor Nunn's associate at the National Theatre, associate director at the RSC, then freelance director on over 100 productions including 20 world premieres in U.K. U.S. China, Argentina, Spain, Cuba, Germany, Israel, Romania, Mexico, and Australia.

An associate director at Ford's Theatre Washington D.C, Stephen holds an O1 Visa for the U.S. 

Recent work includes: Chantecler Tango (Buenos Aires, Paris, Tokyo); The Two Worlds of Charlie F (Theatre Royal Haymarket, Canada and UK Tour); 'The Long Way Home (Sydney Theatre Company); The Widow Lincoln (Washington DC); Contact (UK); The Importance  of being Earnest' (LAMDA); Twelfth Night (CVP London, Leicester Square Theatre); Death of a Salesman (Fords Theatre, Washington DC); Mata Hari (Seoul Korea). 

Stephen is currently developing new musical XCALIBUR (Korea).
